The hose going from the turbo to the intercooler would "blow" off during heavy pulls on my 6.0 but it was a case of not getting a good tightening on the clamps when I had the turbo serviced. A good cleaning and re-tightening of the clamps solved it.

Here's a little hint for intercooler hose blowoff.
Make sure to clean all oil from inside hose and off cooler
Then, just before reinstalling hose, spray hose and cooler with cheap hairspray.
Quickly slide hose on and tighten clamp.

Oh, and replace those crappy factory hoses with an aftermarket hose kit.
I tow a 30ft 5er with my '04, and had blown hoses until I did the hose replacement and hairspray.

Diesel engines do NOT produce vacuum, like a gasoline engine. There must be a vacuum pump to get vacuum. The only thing vacuum does on these trucks is assist the brakes and operate the heater/ A.C. doors to direct the airflow. You can get a vacuum gauge at Autometer.com or any other gauge manufacture

The brakes are hydroboost (transmission fluid), not vacuum.

No waste gate on 6.0L's either.

Turbo or CAC boots blowing off could be EBP sensor, MAP sensor, or stuck vanes in the VGT turbo.
