I have noticed in the last few days that when I am braking to a stop the tranny seems to downshift a little hard. Almost like the Tow/Haul is on but it isn't. I hate to use the word "Clunk" but that's what it is, at about 12-15 mph I can feel it downshift, which I have never felt before.

I am at 33k miles and need to have the tranny serviced and make sure I'm not fixing to have an issue before it runs out of 3/36 warranty.

Any thoughts???

Get the transmission serviced and tell them about your concerns. It is really all you can do at the moment. That is not usual.

for grins my ford guy gets 185 for fluid ad filter change on the tranny,

Just hung up with my service advisor, explained my concerns and he want's to do a road test with the shop boss and diagnose and fix UNDER WARRANTY, said flushing was a waste of my $$ and time at this point, better to tear into it now and fix whatever is going wrong.

She goes in Monday morning :(

Going to Gene Evans in Union City. It hasn't done it all day today but I want to be sure. 3500 more miles then it's out of warranty as far as the tranny goes, I'd prefer Ford pick up the tab on a new one, not me.

Yepper, Mr. Evans is there everyday and very hands on, had a problem with the tire recall, poor tech got the old ones off, the new ones mounted and balanced and then we found out the tires had to be special ordered from Continential, off comes the newly installed and the old ones back on, I asked Mr. Evans about the tech and to make sure he got paid for the job since service advisor made the mistake (honest one at that), Mr. Evans said no problem he'd take care of it and he did. I have no problems going there for service. :thumbs :thumbs
