If you are really worried about it, drill a hole in the bottom of the elbow. That is what Kenworth, Freightliner, Sterling does.

Most people running a curved stack or a bull horn style haven't had any water issues. Some have drilled a small hole in the inlet elbow just in case. Alot of people are using 1 gallon zip lock bags for their miter and straight cut stacks! This way the plastic wont scratch the chrome, and they get shoot them off when the fire up the truck! LOL
