I recently finished intalling DiPricol Optix gauges in a pillar mount with pyrometer, boost and tranny temp. I have a problem with the pyrometer. When I turn the ignition on the pyrometer resets to 0 and then sweeps across to max temp and stays there. I've checked and rechecked for crossed wires, ground, and loose connections. I expect it is a bad gauge. Has anybody here experienced this problem?

Disconect it and make shure the main power wire is going to a keyed on power source. Then reconect and see what hapens. When I did mine I accidentaly hooked it to a constant power and it read twice as high as it should have.

Also check your ground wire. If it is loose or poorly grounded the needle will bounce and not give an accurate reading.
