Congrats on the install. I'll be doing the same shortly. I wanted to chime in with my 2 cents. There is a tempature differance between the two locations. Egts cool after the turbo and the further upstream the closer to combustion temperature you get. The manifold reading will be more acurate.

Yes the differance between two locations can be as far as 500* so always PRE-TURBO.
