Ran when parked = has a bad engine.

parked for 7 years, gas tank and fuel system gunked up, transmission seals have dried and cracked. Are you sure want the truck?

The reason it was parked was because the old gentleman who owned had become unsafe to drive it any longer, so the family took the keys and parked the truck.

It is a nice truck and I believe I could make some good money with it.

I already had planned on needing to drain all fluids from every place that has fluids.

For the 18 years it was on the road, the average mileage a year is just over 3100 miles a year.

I believe it is a good find and would worth the money.

Normally when R_J talks I chuckle :D but he does have a valid point. ;tu
Remember, I do own an '84 Mercedes and seals and rubber do crack with age regardless of how much the vehicle was driven or stored in a garage.

On edit: If it ran when parked then it's a run-away truck. :lmao

And I do appreciate all the advise. That is why I posted this question here.

I knew I would get honest feedback from my SDD buddies.

15 years ago I bought a 85 GMC 2500 High Sierra for $6000. At the time the truck was only 10 years old. Now you're talking about a truck that is 25 years old. Don't know if it helps but thought I'd throw that out there

Playing with it, if you put in the 4 or 6 cylinder, it deducts 10% to 15%. Was the v8 the standard motor?
