In a van down by the river...
Well I just got my computer back from the repair shop and it hasn't crashed in the last ten minutes so I guess they did something right to fix it but now it's misbehaving in a new way. When I use the wheel on my mouse to scroll in a large website/document, it doesn't scroll smoothly anymore. Rather, it looks like there's a horizontal line that moves from top-to-bottom (or vice versa, depending on what direction I'm scrolling) that updates the display in stages. It's really annoying to deal with, but I'm hoping that someone on here will be able to help out with what I need to change to get things scrolling smoothly again.

Take it back. There is something wrong in the processor/memory area. They haven't changed the way it scrolls, just it's capability to process the screen changes has been reduced somehow. Just my .02.

Does it do a whole page at a time? You can change how far one tick scrolls in the mouse setteings, I think I have mine set for three lines. I have never seen a line from video problems but if they do not have the cideo card driver installed and it is using the standard windows driver for the card it will be very slow.
