Hey,

Just put in a Bullydog PMT (which is great!) but I noticed my radio reception has signifigantly decreased in qualty. Any idea what would cause this? Possibly the programmer its self? Its driving me nuts!

Thanks
Jeff

when you were installing the chip, you pulled on an antenna wire and it probably pulled out a little, or completely.

There wasn't to much wiring done under the dash however I guess its possible. Would this be directly on the back of the deck? How do I take the deck out to check the connections? Its just a stock system, we didn't take it out to put the chip in. Basically just plugged it in to the ODB port and ran a wire to the fuse box :dunno

Thanks!

There are 2 holes on each side of the radio. There are some radio removal tools available at Walmart for about $4. You insert them into the holes until they click, then you force them out (away from the radio) and pull the radio out. Many have made the tools out of coat hangers, but I have pulled my radio out for wiring purposed at times, so I just bought the little tools.

Hope it helps.

These are what the tools look like, at Walmart.

Hi,

Thanks, I will see if I can get it out. I don't really know how working under the steering wheel could have loosened an antenna wire but I guess its worth checking. The radio still works, just a few of the stations I used to get no problem I don't really get at all now. lots of fuzz.

Cheers

Check with an Auto-Audio/Stereo store and ask for a power line filter. They will know what you want and should have it.

What circuit did you tie into? Might try a different one if a noise filter doesn't fix it.

The book say to tie in to the odb/cig lighter fuse. The guy also replaced the radio fuse to, by accident I belive if that might have anything to do with it.

Cheers
