Do you live in Casper, or you just don't want to keep explaining where Shoshoni or Riverton are?

Bonners Ferry is 30 miles from Sandpoint, on 95, only thing between here and Canada is a few Moose and assorted bears.
Sandpoint is getting YUPPYFIED, !@#%% Californians who don't drive/like diesels.
Got power to the shop today, waiting for estimate for insulation and slab.
Whne I get some time, will create a photo album on YAHOO of place, surrounding area.
Neighbor is retired Deputy form S. Ca. dirves a D-Max.
Next up the road is a Idaho State Trooper, Dodge/Cummins.
Some guy is really working his Dodge, comes up the road, pulling a gooseneck trailer, about 18 - 20 foot, AND a Tandom axle about 12 - 14 ft, both stacked high with haybales.
No lounging about for that Cummins!

My brother and sister in law live in Kettle Falls, but have a cabin in Sandpoint is the reason I asked Ken. He's not a yuppy in the true sense of the word, at least not the tree hugging type. He drives an 04 Cummins, hunts, fishes and just has the place as a get away from the daily hassles of life. We are planning a trip that way next summer.

Right 95, not EVERYONE in Sandpoint is a nogoodnik, did not mean it as a blanket condemnation. From what I hear there is large herd ( prolly not all Ca.s either) trying to change things.
Propery values have sky rocketed there.
Same was happening in Paradise Ca. I figure if they don't like it the way it is, stay away.
Give me a shout when you get up here.

Kenh Congrats on your escape. :thumbs I have lived in Ca. all my life and in 3 years when my youngest is out of school I plan on escaping as well. I kinda like Idaho but the wife is pulling for Wyoming or Colorado. You know what that means.

Out of the three I would choose Idaho personally. I came to Wyo for a job and while I like it here, its not where I will live for the rest of my life. Colorado I would avoid like the plague, its just a little to green down that direction if ya know what i mean. And Wyoming is just to dry and arid. High desert plains, with a heavy emphasis on desert. That is of course you intend to move to Jackson, in which case study my comments about green that I made about Colo. Jackson is akin to Sonora, and you being from Sonoma have prolly been to Sonora before. ;)

Thanks for the insight Mike. (Damn How many guys named Mike are on this site :D ) The decision is still a few years off and I know exactly what you mean about green. I love the Sonora area but I wouldn't want to live there.
