Question Programmers

Looking at programmers for a mod......I like the Edge Evo because of the display with lots of options....looks like prices are between $500 and $600....has anyone had any good or bad things to say about it?...what r everyones thoughts on the Edge?

The Edge is a "one size fits all" tuner for the general truck market. Not a great option. The gauges are good, you can use an Edge CTS as a good monitor, but I would never let one tell my PCM how to act. They are generic tunes which makes the seat of your pants feel better (than stock) but eventually it'll break something.

What you want is a custom tuner... Someone who knows your motor specifically and tunes with YOUR truck in mind. Check out DP Tuner, Power Hungry Performance, Gearhead, or any of the other reputable custom tuners.

What year truck do you have? I had a 04 and got a tuner from DP tuner.

friend had a edge evo, egts were through the roof. if i remember right it does even plug into computer or obdII port, just taps into a bunch of sensors to "fool" them. Basically just a fancy resister mod.

Ive read the Edge tuners are tough on transmissions, go with a PHP Hydra chip you can use Bills tunes or anyone else that you want.

What year truck do you have? I had a 04 and got a tuner from DP tuner.

Mine is a 2000 7.3L.....which DP Tuner did you get?

Also.....I have a stand alone Trans Command from Banks....will there be a conflict with the two together?
