problems with the 03 6.0 diesel i might need to know about ??

hi hope i posted in the right place i am currently looking at a 03 f350 dually with the 6.0 i checked it out at the dealer the head gaskets had been replaced egr replaced injectors and turbo and map it has 95k miles 4x4 larait just checking do you think i will be making a wise choice with this it is a bank repo what other problems with the 6.0 new to this 6.0 i owned a 7.3 back in 02 good motor .let me know before i buy this thing i think they are going to take me up on my offer thanks

should be just getting broke in by now...my list is lots longer than that one and it runs great now...

Sounds like all the common things have already been done, althought sometimes they reoccur. Those being the Headgaskets, EGR cooler, and EGR valve.

oh lord you mean it can happen again ??i was happy it had been fixed i figured they put better parts in for the fix my luck it will break the first week!!!

They should have used the updated headgaskets, but as far as the EGR cooler and valve go, they're just stock replacements.

I would recommend putting a coolant filter on the truck ASAP, it will get the remaining casting sand out of the coolant system, and will increase the life of the water pump, EGR cooler and Oil cooler. It's cheap insurance.
