Problem with Ford Service CD

While trying to diagnose my door lock problem my service CD malfunctioned.

Try to open it up and I get a pop-up over the top that says "Couldn't start up the reader DLL". when you click OK it gives another pop-up that says "VIEW12 caused a General Protection Fault in module GRDLL.DLL at 004C:082F. Choose close. VIEW16 will close.". I click close and I am back to nothing. Program will not run.

I think I was about to figure out what to do to test the locks when it broke. Anyway to get it to work?

I have tried to delete the program from my computer so I can reinstall it but it won't delete. Keep getting access denied.

Started deleting every program that i showed "access denied" and after repeated attempts the problem program finally deleted. I then deleted the whole Ford file and then reinstalled the CD. Seems to work fine now.

Why this do that?

It is just how it is sometimes.

I find that the Ford Cd's are not the best written software out there.

Is there something better out there? After spending all afternoon trying to navigate through the CD then spending an hour trying to fix the installation, I now have to go to work and don't have time to fix the door locks

the ford cd's SUCK...takes for EVER for me to find almost anything (save for a connector/plug number)

ive always figured it was me, but couldnt ever find anyone to train me

yeah, they suck. but once you figure out the insanity it becomes bearable.
