I'm about to go off on another one of my right-wing conspiracy diatribes...
I heard this latest price hike in crude was to "cover anticipated lost revenue due to reduced demand"
which has got to be the absolute biggest COC (crock of ca-ca) I have ever heard...
so what this means is:
as alternative energy sources become more widespread, reducing the need for petroleum, the price of petroleum will rise to match the price of alternative energy...
which seems to be counter-intuitive to free-market principles
(however, I never claimed to be an econ major)
