power tuners

i have an 04 6.0 runs well i am curious i want approx 60 more hp and say like 70 to 80 ft pound more torque. what would be the best downloader. i have stock exhaust and intake and most likely will leave it that way. i do tow 2 horses but mostly drive the truck. reliability is important but a bit more power would be great. edge evolution? bully dod downloader?

in my opinion, i would at least put in some good gauges to measure boost & exhaust gas temperatures (EGT's), and better tranny gauge too.

you can gain some of that HP with a good 4" exhaust, you could also upgrade the air intake, but the 6.0 stocker is a pretty good system by itself.

most tuners are gonna be able to deliver much more HP than just the level you are asking about. i am not really sure which one would be the best for you.

SCT tuners can be custom tuned to your application, and there are about 5 or so custom tunes that can be done. anywhere from a 30, 50, 70, 100, 150 HP gains.

try one of the vendors here at SDD, like discount power parts.

i personally think the bully dogs the best. it has a good solid 50 horse program on it. that is my choice. and u can try it before you buy it.

IMHO... and on my third deezle Ex...
Before you do any hp upgrade... at least get rid of the stock boat anchor exhaust - one - it is very restrictive - and two it weighs a TON

best, but most 'invasive', is a 4 inch turbo back system, second best a good cat back, third best, but least invasive, is something like a Walker BTM muffler like I did for about $75 installed...

Then, once you get that 40 hp upgrade I GUARANTEE you will want more....
bet the farm on it

so go with the SCT, it IS the best out there and can be tuned to fit your driving style to a T.... also controls the tranny best on the market ! and will increase your mpg if you don't use the new found hp too much
