I have noticed the powersteering pump seems to be leaking on of one of the hoses that exits on the right side of the pump. It seems that the hose going into the connector is loose. Is there a oring in there that possibly needs replacing to make it seal? I know that it is coming from that location but I guess the question is o-ring or will I have to have a new hose? Thanks

BEst I remember, there is not an o-ring on that hose. I have had a couple of hoses break at that connection, though...I think it's probably a design flaw.

Be sure to get a new hose with a lifetime warranty...at least you won't have to pay for the part every time...

Replaced the hose with a lifetime hose and it is still leaking. Called my mechanic and he said that the front seal could be going out on the pump. He said it is easier just to replace the pump with a reman one. I guess that is the way I am going to go. He is going to get me an estimate and then I will see whether to let him do it. When my water pump went out he got the pump and changed it out cheeper than I could buy a reman one. He's got connections.:thumbs

I am debating whether to go with a performance pump or a regular one with lifetime warranty. Not sure. What do ya'll think?

Figured out that the hose they gave me was faulty. Replaced it with the warranty of the one I had bought and everything seems to be working like a charm again.

I have put the Lucas leak stuff in after changing hoses. Tonight the reservoir seems a little low. I don't know if it was from air in the system. I am thinking it might be a hole in the return rubber hose. May have to replace that. If nothing else I might replace all the hoses and pump and that would only be about $100. I have zip tied some paper towels around spots that look like they might be leaking and so I will check them tommorow and see if it is leaking from the inside of those or being sprayed on those spots by the pump.

The name of that stop leak would would be good. Thanks
