Had the dash apart yesterday & today (im trying to
find a place to MOUNT the valentine one remote display).

Interestingly enough i noticed a plug (w/out any thing
connected) next to the power point in the dash...any ideas ?
its got several wires on it & its tied to the same loom as the
power point itself.

fwiw i havent found a good place for mounting the remote
display (im tired of it coming loose...its velcro'd in the small
cubby hole).

I think i may buy another dash (cover) w/out the 4wd and
move my esof to someplace UNDER the dash...then ill mount
the valentine one remote display in the dash where the esof
control is now.

yeah that makes sense...i was kinda hopeful you were
gonna say it was the rear slider wiring / switch (between
that and the sun roof im still kicking myself for not having
got them as options).

ive got a photo of the valentine remote disply in the cubby...
i just wanted it to be IN DASH...make it look a little nicer.

I'm fairly certain its the PAD switch (passenger side airbag deactivation) Logging into the ford dealer site provided this attachement. Sorry for the poor quality, my PDF writer is a bit buggy at printing diagrams.

Does this mean I could install a passenger side airbag shut-off switch in my 07 crew cab? Sometimes we have a child under 12 sitting there, and that would be nice. Since it's illegal for a child under 12 to sit in the front unless all rear seats are full this doesn't happen often, but who knows, that one time could be a life saver!

Assuming that the system is looking for the presence of a voltage (this only being a WAG in my part), you can probably buy the switch from the dealer or one of our fine sponsors who sells Ford factory parts, and make it look like it came that way from the KTP.

I thought there was some kinda "deal" where you could
go in and plead your case to the dealer and they would then give
you the "on off" key for the passenger side air bag.

yep and a federal form to be filed with the dot folks.
ford can do it it takes a switch  and a ressitor. according to my tech the computer looks for a certian ressitance at start up to verify its there so you dont get a light.
we are looking at getting it done as my MIL rides up front and she is frail ...i would hate to have her face smashed by the airbag...can you imagine the grief i would get after she learned to talk again
i have truck tech appoint tomorrow i will get al the skinny.
