went out this morning and my 04 6.0 F350 won't start

turn on the key, everything powers up, lights, dash radio, etc.
turn the key to start and nothing..... the lights don't dim, nothing at all

my new truck should be here anyday, and i don't want to put money into this, just get it going to get it to the dealer.....

what could be the problem.

thanks in advance

thanks for the help folks

found out the problem..... as i thought, bat or cables weren't the problem..... a damn critter got up under my engine and ate through the wire loom that runs down the firewall and rearward...... totally trashed the casing but only broke ONE of the 900 million wires there, and it was the one that wouldn't allow the starter to be energized..... 5 minute fix, just hard to find....... tomorrow off to the dealership to trade it off on my 2010......

thanks guys
