yeah, its not totalled, but it would have took some good body work to make it right again and some bondo too.

i just couldn't stand the thought of having bondo somewhere on my truck.

for times sack, i just want to get a new one, and the oppurtunity to get the 2008 tailgate seemed like perfect timing.

i couldn`t agree with you more....you have a nice truck there.....:thumbs

Actually, Stephen...that tailgate looks a whole lot better than my dented up one, and while I normally am not a big fan of Bondo, your tailgate was definitely repairable with the right materials and good talented labor.

Mine is dented at the bottom where the only way you can get the dents out is with a puller. Wanna find a new home for your old one? The quote I get from the stealership for an 08 tailgate is nearly $700. OUCH! And it's NOT the one with the step!

i have a cousin who needs a tailgate like my old one for a F250 he bought for re-sale, so it wont go to waste, he's gonna use my old one.

i still just couldnt stand the thought of havin bondo and all, if it was just a normal ole work truck that we used to band around in, i wouldnt even think of fixin it.

but its my baby, and it gets what it wants when i can afford it.

besides, the new tailgate makes for a good business expense.

Bama the gate looks sweet. Do you look in to a step gate at all? I bet they were a lot more expensive. As for the bondo my tail gate has some and could have used some more. I am fine with it though because you can't even tell where I put it.
