well, that gets back to the analogy of the hypermax power programmer, and the superchips micro tuner.

You own the HARDWARE, but the software inside still belongs to the creator.

You wouldnt send your HPP in to superchips and expect them to load the SCMT software onto it would you?

For one, the hardware internally is different.

Same with the chips. Not ever chip maker is using the same hardware. It may not even be physically capable of having someone else load thier software.

From what I'm understanding here is that there are several factors involved one is physical differences between mulitiposition chips same as the difference between IBM and Mac computers were at one point where nothing done on one could be read on the other. So one programmer may write his programs to work with a certian platform and if you want something else then you need to get another platform.

The best of all worlds with multiposition flip chips would be to have a chip with the programs that you like the best from a variety of programmers. While you may have one of bill's tow programs, t-wildman's extreme, dp-tuners's economy program, and whatever other programs you would like but that's not possible today so work with your programmer of choice and see what they can do to help you out.
