I swore I had seen the option for the PATS or it came standard at one trim or another-popcorn

all the ones on the lot at TOMBALL FORD had the blinking alarm light
(poorly placed) on the lower dash (near the knee/fuse panel)...and
it wasnt a very BRIGHT light.

no where ANYWHERE on ANY STICKER could i find any mention of
a security system from the factory or aftermarket...

CRAP...does it have a HUGE KEY (big plastic end) ? those keys
are the coded (chip'd) keys refered to as PATS KEYS.

even THAT is only part of a solution (so they Might be delayed
in DRIVING the truck off)...but you NEED an alarm (i just got broken
into...got my 400+ dollar radio...i bet they werent there 15 seconds.

a screw driver will pop any super duty door open....they got me in
BROAD DAYLIGHT in a PATROLLED parking lot !

on mine, cant believe im saying this, they DIDNT mess up the door (metal)
they went thru the key hole & popped the door handle...

im only out 120 bucks for the PLASTIC DOOR HANDLE & KEY TUMBLER...
(least i dont have to buy a door or deal w/ bent metal).

for those unaware...heres how EASILY they get it...LINK

any PLASTIC handled DOOR is an easy target...its not just a superduty
issue...but FORDs 99-CURRENT are the easiest (ford STILL hasnt
changed the design of the door or handle)

look at this LINK and youll see the handle is held in by TWO
10mm nuts (at diagonal corners...making it EASIER to pop it)...
not the most secure design (exploted by thieves).
