Hey, a lot of Yankees say the same things about Southern cuisine.
I've eaten "Southern" or "soul" food all my life and I'm still here. My recently diagnosed heart problems were not caused by anything I ate. Just lousy genetics.
Now there are some things that grace Northern tables you wouldn't catch me eating at gunpoint. Scrapple immediately comes to mind. Lutefisk comes second.
Eat mo' possum!
scrapple is just lamb's brain with some buckwheat flour added for "texture"
now haggis on the other hand...
BTW.. I'll eat chitlins.. but you ain't cookin them smelly-ass things in the house...
