Glad to here they wernt seriously hurt. Something to be said for FULL sized vehicles. I'll NEVER own another Econo Box... after they had to cut my wife out of a Geo Metro..... Kinda sounded like the same senario with yer Mom'n Dad.... Guy ADDMITTED he was tuneing his Stereo, drifted over, caught her on the left front, flipped her up & over, into a ditch all 4 doors crushed/jammed shut. Folks behind her said she did a 360, in the air, then an Endo.

Like Warren Zevon said, " send lawyers, guns, and money, the $hit has hit the fan." A good personal injury attorney will salivate over this one, my friend, especially injuring two senior citizens and totalling their automobile over TUNING A RADIO? I hope your folks recover soon, sorry, I don't buy this as an "accident". This was just stupidity, pure and simple, and if it were my family, I would be on the warpath.

Talked to them both tonight - they got released and my soon to be sister-in-law who is a nurse is taking a few days to stay with them until they can manage better. Good way for her to score brownie points
They are going to be sore for awhile but nothing wrong that won't heal up. Dad said my brother was going to take some pictures of the van later - says he can't believe that they made it out of it.
Nothing new on the guy that hit them - except he got arrested - and they don't do that just for having an accident.
Maybe Dad can talk Mom into letting him get a new van with a DIESEL like he wants
Of course it will be a Ford - nothing but Ford blue in his veins
