Felling pretty good - cleaning the truck and getting ready to watch the game - when I come inside and notice I got like 15 phone messages - all from my brothers and sister.
Parents were coming home from church when they got side swiped - guy crossed the line and caught my parents Ford van right behind the drivers door. People behind them said the car went under the rear tire which flipped the van, it rolled and landed upside down over the embankment.
Dad (who is 74) was able to release himself and crawl out the windshield. Mom was trapped upside down until the rescue got there to cut her out. Thankfully they did pretty well - Dad has two broken ribs and a gash on his head. Mom has a broken thumb and ankle and my brother (state trooper) says she looks like she was in a bar fight. I spoke with them both tonight - they were drugged up but otherwise sounded as best as you could expect.
Van is totaled - but held up good enough as it could have been worse.
The other driver didn't get hurt at all - got arrested - but I don't know yet if he was drunk, high or just an idiot.
