I saw some white/grey smoke between my truck and a car at a stop light this afternoon. Not sure if it was from mine because I never saw it again and when I let the truck idle when I got home it didn't see it there either. I thought that maybe it did it because the engine was cold and once it warmed up it would quit. I let it cool for a couple hours and tried again. No smoke. Is it possible to get something like that if it sits for a day or two without running? If it were black I wouldn't be worried at all.

I've only rommped on the engine four or five times only for about 4-5 seconds. Only has 4000 miles on it. Shouldn't have gone over 1200F for EGT but don't have guages yet. Everything is stock. This is really bothering the heck out of me right now. Is there anything I need to check out besides trying to recreate the conditions that existed when I saw it the first time?

It's possible you were burning off the condensation that collects in the exhaust after you shut the truck off and the exhaust cools off.

Don't get paranoid over it just yet. It maybe your truck and it may go away after some more miles. It won't hurt anything, just keep an eye on it.

I've been keeping an eye on it and haven't seen it again. I just swing the side mirror down at the pipe to check it out.
