I can also give the nod to BTS as one of the guys that builds bullet proof E4OD's/4R100's but seeing how you are in Monterey, there is a tranny builder in So. Cal. goes by the name of John Woods that is doing some good things with the Ford transmission also.

I personally have a BTS but I would say go for the John Wood since your so close. He's the only gut out there that uses a completely new update convertor in his rebuilds. I blive it is baised on the 6.0 convertor. He laso uses a new updated oil pump. I think JW is close to BTS but the cost saving in shipping and the fact that they both stand behind there work negates the benfit or one over the other. Call them both and get prices and take it from there. Good luck.

There are some really good transmission builders out there. Brian at BTS has a reputation that would be hard pressed to beat. Good things are coming from John Wood as well. Another option would be the Monster Box transmission. It has gone through a complete update and the price listed includes shipping the unit to you and shipping your old core back.

Jasper builds a nice class 2 race trans. They had a contract to build the Monster Box, and somehow that didn't work out. Their unit is basically the exact same unit w/o the valve body for a grand less.
Suncoast is also a very good company havent heard anything bad about them...check it out www.suncoastconverters.com
