PDL Fix Problem

I just finished doing the PDL fix on my pickup. Everything ended up pretty well with one major problem, both of the locks lock and unlock BUT whenever I press the lock button the drivers door unlocks and the passenger door locks and vice versa. Anyone know what the deal is?

Sounds like a couple of wires got reversed somewheres along the way.

Try reversing the wires on the driver's door lock solenoid. Everything should be in sync then.

How could the wires have gotten crossed? They only plug in one way.

I'm guessing reman solenoids, and the polarity got reversed... have had it happen on blower motors... plug it in and it's running backwards...

What happened is:

When you put the motor back together, you put the brush end onto the motor assembly 180 degrees from it's original way.

Before you pulled the motor apart you should have used a magic marker to mark both pieces for re-assembly.

After you got the motor apart, it could have gone back together two ways. You picked the wrong one.
