I use paypal a lot, havent had a problem, I am verified, bu they don't have access to my bank account, because I closed it and opened a business account
. They never noticed! I use Credit card for it all instead.
I did reluctantly go the cashier's check route one time when seller didn't accept anything else, the seller ended up losing the check (really) and I had to do a stop payment on the cashier's check (didn't know you could do that). Had to sign an indemnity agreement and wait 2 weeks to be sure the check didn't get cashed somewhere. I then sent the seller another check, minus all the fees involved, my time, mileage, etc. It all worked out in the end, but I will never again do that.
No need to start emailing warnings around about paypal spoofs, they are always around, just forward them to paypal and they will thank you, and say they are working to disable the web site the spoof links to. Seems like the best way to help to me!
