the parts counter guy did call to verify like i said and it is supposed to be the 'locking nut' style..

it has been slightly too damn cold to crawl under and look. -13 this morning

wweeelllll: took the opportunity at work (rental store remember, which was totally dead today) to pull the pig into the shop let her come up to temp, hose it down thoroghly. after an hour drip dry i cut out the factory block heater cord and put on said above piece. only problem was that the nut did not spin onto the threads at the block heater end. shoved the cord into some plastic loom and zip tied up and away all nice and pretty. IF i get an opportunity to post up some pix i will tomorrow.
