Help Needed Parking Brake Issues

Hey folks,

Anyone able to help? Wonderinf if anyone has some insight on parking brake issues. When I go to engage it, pedal is very hard to push down, no light on dash comes on, and obviously it doesnt work. Would this be a cable, connection, or needing new pads? I'm assuming the pads are inside the rotor of the rear wheels? Trying to figure out the best fix to this problem. Thanks for any help.

I would check the cables and connection, you may have hit
something in the road and it hit one of the cables and bent it.
Had it happen to me once and burned out the brake on that side.

if the peddle is moving but the light isn't comming on you may have an issue right at the foot actuator and switch

Cable and/or parking lever ratchet assy. I replaced mine about 5 years ago, been fine since.
