banana- get a second opinion on the pan leak. 94-97 PSD's had a TSB on the from cylinder head passage end plugs. The design was bad and they leaked. its a 50 cent oring fix.

That bad design took 50 cent cheap outta the equation a couple years ago. You now buy a hole new plug with a new design oring, one of those "plastic like"
seals, not an oring and back up ring.

Depending on your dealer they are anywhere from 25 - 40 bucks...

I bought new plugs and seals for 20 bucks total from the dealer when I overhauled the 7.3 in an F-super duty.

thanks i will look at it closer. i think it is while running. where is the line on the head?

The plugs are toward the top of the head. They are about 1 1/2" around and have a 1/2 square indent for removal. There are 4 total, 2 on the front and 2 on the back.

does it leak when the engine is running or well after shutdown. if it leaks while its running, look at the O-ring sealing the steel high-pressure lines coming off the pump at each end.

Mine seems to leak after shutdown. what can be in this case?
