Ok this may seem odd, but I have stock "primered" wheels on the work truck. Can I paint them? What is the prep, type of paint, method..?

Been there done that... First things first..... they have got to be 100% clean... thats the hardest task... once clean, give em a final wipe with denatured alcohol, this will remove any Excess oils.... My favorite paint of choice for wheels has been Hammerite goes on thick and holds... or a better solution would be to have them powder coated.

Best bet for durability is to have them sandblasted and powder coated. I can have that done for you if you're interested. :sweet

I would have them poder coated.. Thats what I am in the process of doing now costing 65 per wheel to get blasted smoothed up a little and powder coat

+1 on the powder coating...all my motorcycles have powder coated
wheels and many years of wear (15+ on some) and plenty of miles (50k
plus on several) and ALL the wheels look show-room / brand new, not
a chip or scratch on 'em & they wipe clean EASILY....chain lube (sticky)
and dust take little more than a light wipe to remove.

Powder coat is the only way to go...if you get 'em black, everyone will think you bought them new style black wheels.:sweet

Saw an 02 a while back that had rims color matched to truck with baby moons and beauty rings "old school" style and it was sweet. Not sure what kind of wheels, but it was different.

Sounds like powder coating it is. I am close to Nashville, TN. Any suggestions?
It sounds like that it is just as cheap to just have them blasted and coated at the same place.
