No coolant is being lost and it doesn't smell like it is overheating. The resevoir is at the right level.

If it's not the sending unit ? Have you ever cleaned off (bugs'n crap) & back-washed the A/C condenser ??

210K, in mainly the Redding area = alota bugs ;):D

Blow out the rad, air to air and condensor. See what comes out. Try to blow or wash it backwards of air flow. If it is bad enough you may need to remove the rad and air to air. They are so close together it is tough to get it all out. We have to do that on the transport trucks in the summer time. You may be surprised to see how much comes out.;tu

If the coolant additive levels were not maintained you may need to replace the radiator due to clogged tubes.

I can say that I chased a similar problem in a Class A RV and it turned out to be wheat/grass that had built a thatch up between the radiator & the a/c condenser.

yeah if all else is new and you can tell that all is working. get the rad flushed.

But seriously a real temp sensor is not over rated. I learned this the hard way:innocent

K&N filters don't filter very well. They will let dust and the like through the filter and this will damage your turbo intake blades. It can destroy a turbo in no time. How long?? I don't know, I have never hurt my turbocharger.

Dave

They're called a "squirrel trap" for a reason... :lmao

x 2 on the "clean the garbage out of the radiator" and I'll even go one further, and tell you to you might even want to take the stack apart (remove the radiator & intercooler) and clean the trash out of the whole thing.. while you have the radiator out, check the ends of the tubes for corrosion blooms. It may have partially plugged tubes...

One of those small hose nozzles for washing off sidewalks works well for back-washing the radiator & condenser. shoots at about a 30* angle, in a fan pattern ?

The angled spray works well for ya, in the limited clearances between Rad fan shroud, and..between the Rad & condenser.

While not a fix, a bug screen over the grille is a bit of a preventive medicine.

I've had a Fia custom bug screen for several years now. Does a real good job of keeping the bugs out of the condensor.
