Dont have it, but I do remember that when you have it apart, the problem is usually very obvious, if your comfortable with a soldering iron and a heat sink you can repair your self in just a few min.

If you search "Overhead Console" there are several posts related to this problem. However, the most common link to the fix doesn't work any more. Basically, the problem is typically one or more resistors (surface mount) that have come unsoldered due to the heat inside the unit. You can resolder the resistors to the circuit board and bring it back to life. We did it with my dad's truck and it wasn't too tough. IIRC my dad's had 2-3 loose resistors. Just takes a really small soldering iron, a steady hand and some patience. Give it a shot! Good luck.

yeah cant find the link either. and I just did mine Sunday. pull down the front by the windshield. then push in the tabs in the sunglasses holder that separates the black inside from the outside trim. then set aside the trim piece. Then unplug the unit, and the black piece will pivot down and its out.

next you pull the circuit board mount by unscrewing torqs screws and then the board from the mount by a screw in the middle of the board under that black foam. then take the board to the fattest kid you know and tell him its a computer chip and its bbq flavored. then as he is chewing it punch him in the mouth and wala its fixed. to install its the reverse order of dissasembly with the note to make sure you dont hit the alternate world porthole button during reassembly.

that's what I needed to know more than anything else..
I've never had one off, and couldn't figure out how to get it down without busting it to smithereens..
