2003 Excursion 6.0 L with ATS Trany and Co-Pilot

Anyone know of a way to turn overdrive off? When I pull a hill with a trailer, the trany still shifts to overdrive, but I need to keep the r's around 2,500. It would be great to have an electric switch.. like some cars have. I have tried tow mode, but this does not do the trick.

Thanks, Chris

The co-piolot locks the torque converter on/off. I would like my trany to stay in 4th gear @ 2,500 rpms and not shift to 5th gear @ 1,500 rpms while towing up a hill at 60 MPH. Currently, the trany will shift shift to 5th, RPM's will drop, and th engine will lug... with exhaust gas temps climbing. The only way to get it to down shift to 4th is to back out of the pedel (boost) and then reapply the pedel over and over again.

If I could stay in 4th, then the converter could be locked up with co-pilot, and those hills would be fun!!!
