Question Outside Temperature Indicator

Does anyone know where Ford puts the sensors for the outside temperature indicator? My 02 PSD didn't have it, but the 08 F-150 has the temperature indicator, as does the 07 Explorer. On the really hot days this summer, the F-150's got up to as high as 112, but when I started driving, it dropped 5-10 degrees pretty quickly. I think it could be somewhere on the frame, or inside the roof.

On my 06 6.0 it is right in front of where the air filter is, behind the grail on the left front of the truck.
