Question Outside temperature and compass display

I have a 2009 F-250 XLT crew cab with the 6.4 diesel. It has Microsoft Synch with the microphone on the rear-view mirror. The dashboard information center does not have temp/compass display. Apparently, there are at least two types of information centers. Does anyone know if there is a way to upgrade mine to have a temp/compass display?

in my truck the compass is up by the odometer, does your climate control have button that says EXT on it?

No it doesn't. I don't have the digital climate control with the buttons on the steering wheel. I have the old-fashioned kind with the temperature control knob that rotates between blue and red.
