im kinda confused as to WHY anyone would do this...other than having
blown up a motor.

perhaps the dodge guys would be more interested...knowing they could
put their motor in front of a better tranny and in a better frame & body.

Bush,

It's the best of both worlds (in many's eyes). Cummins makes a great motor that can be modified with a little more reliability and Ford makes the best package and tranny (in many's eyes, again).
It's a cool looking project. I guess some have done it, just to see if they could. Kinda like climbing a mountain, because they can. ;)

agreed...do it just to say you can...but i dont see it as being a
MARKET-ABLE product or solution.

ITs kinda like dropping in a gm 350cid motor into a "hot rod" FORD...
or using a FORD 9inch rear end in a GM/Chevy HotRod !

its blasphemy ! ;)

yeah only cause the HOOD will be closed... :roflmao

theres one of those running around houston...its a novelty at best,
and if the hoods not open no one would know the difference.

i still dont get it though...the 6.0 & the 7.3 can make plenty of
RELIABLE horsepower w/ mods, no different than this in line 6...
it might not be commonly done but it seems theres more and
more at the track.

I have to agree with Bush on this one as well. :stir

If it were a medium or heavy-duty Cummins they were swapping in, that would be one thing... but to simply convert it to the light truck engine, is a complete waste of time. :dunno
