Is the $500 difference of a new 1-ton dually worth getting it over a 3/4 ton SRW?

I'm still rather shocked you're asking which GM POS should I buy on a Ford site. I tried to keep quiet, but I'm just dumfounded! This site has really been slow lately, but WTF? A GM? Are you F'in kiddin' me?

Kent has been around here a very long time. He deserves to say what ever he wants. You don't have to like it. But he can say it.

----I strongly feel the recent Superduties are so unattractive stylewise,

For reasons of having a GM employee discount program through work, I am zero-ing in on a Chevy/GMC.

I don't need any "get another Ford" comments, so please keep those to yourself.

I have been on this forum almost since day 1 in April 2005. I respect the experience and maturity of many fellow forum members as well as thoughtful advice they offer.

That is why I have sought their input in making my buying decision.

Just because I might be driving a GM truck in the not too distant future, does not mean I'm going to disappear and no longer offer the benefit if 12 1/2 years and 306,000 miles and counting of experience with Superduites and 7.3's.

Kent, you are not going to notice the difference between the ride of the 3/4 and one ton trucks. They have improved the ride of the new trucks to an almost car like ride but still maintain the load and towing capacity of them. When I was looking for mine I took my wife for a ride in a new 2008 F350 SRW and I was blown away by the ride compared to even the 2006 I have and the ride quality of my truck is much better than what I thought it would be.

Agreed, but I'm not crazy about the silver and woodgrain. But that is the higher trim level package in the photo. The Work Truck trim level I'm focusing on is not as "loud", being more plain. Which is what I prefer.

Funny, take away the silver and wood grain, and in certain aspects, it starts resembling the dash of my early 99. :D
