On the driver side rear, When the truck gets some articulation IE curb or just turning to the left or right and some lean I hear a funky clunk coming from inside the truck like the backseat???

Anyone have any idea what may cause this????

Like you have something heavy and it slides into something, but itsdefinnatly from the drivers rear side in my extended cab.

In a van down by the river...
Have you checked the bolts that hold down the seats? If some of them have backed out ever-so-slightly, the seat could possibly be sliding around enough to cause the "clunk".

Make sure the cab mounts to the frame are tight and the rubber bushings are up to snuff. As far as how to check for pan flex? Maybe have the wife drive over a curb while you are in the back seat or on the floor?

This may seem silly, but we did just spend days trying to help a guy start his truck to find out it had no fuel. :roflmao :roflmao

Do you have the plastic storage area behind the seat? Is there something in it sliding side to side? Is the tray itself securely fastened? Do you have a toolbox on the truck, if you do I bet its from inside there.

I have the same noise as you described, but mine comes from hard bolting the headache rack and toolbox to the bed, and does it after about a foot of articulation.

This is probably a really stupid question . . . but does it only happen within a little bit of when you've started the truck? Occasionally I leave my A/C (or defrost, etc.) on and when I start the truck the vaccum kicks in and there's a noticeable CLUNK as the door to the HVAC switches position. Don't know if that's your problem or not . . . .

Have a good one,
Dave
