Nice man!! You'll enjoy that for sure.
congrats all...
tell us about the TJ??!!
since you spilled the beans.
2000 Wrangler Sahara edition, 100,*** some odd miles, 4.0L. Pretty loaded for the Wrangler, A/C, auto tranny, cruise control, hard top. It looks to be 100% unmolested so far. Runs along pretty nice. We couldnt find anything decent here in town for any kind of reasonable price but I was being picky, wanted the 4.0, hard top and A/C... those points were pretty much non-negotiable.
So I hopped on vehix and auto trader and craigslist in Denver and came up with about 10 or 15 decent candidates to look at. The wifey and I loaded up the Stang and cruised down to Denver Friday morning and began our search. Friday was a long day, on three separate occasions we walked onto lots only to find the dealer taping the temporary tags on the jeep I had located for the OTHER new owner. What are the chances.... three times in one day! We were headed downt to look at one last Wrangler late Friday evening. It was a 98 Sahara, black on black loaded with only 56K on it.... same deal, that was strike #3 for the day. Feeling pretty much dejected the wife and I were just going to go find a hotel for the night and get some food and beer and resume our search in the AM and en route to the hotel we ran across a 2000 Wrangler and the owner of the lot just happened to still be in (like 7 pm Fri nite) so we asked if we could look at it and possible test run it, he tossed us the keys and we ran her through the paces, went back to the lot, wrote the guy a deposit check and told him we'd be back first thing Sat morn to finish the paperwork.
Ran it hard all the way up I-25 from Denver to Casper and it averaged about 18 mpg at 80 mph.
Anyway, heres a few shots of it and Boomer had to get in the action too. The last two shots are of the 98 that I just missed out on before finding the 00.
