OK guys I need some help!

Ill check the batteries and alt today with the AE. What is a good voltage for batteries when at idle. I have noticed that sometimes when I turn on my HID headlights the engine does retard for a second. I dont know if thats bad batteries or alternator or something else.

known issue with the aftermarket HID's
some people have reported engine stall under motion when the HID's are switched on.

Thanks JL! I have the 2 codes for the transfercase showing up again. What are your thoughts. Do you think my truck could be stuck in 4wd Hi? Im going to get with my Brother today to see if axles are turning when I am in gear. Hubs are unlocked so if axle turns its stuck in 4wd. I have been chasing this vibration noise at higher rpms (1600-2000) for a while now and wonder if this could be it. thanks for your help. Checking pm now!

What is a good voltage for batteries when at idle.

13 to 14.5v, @ idle, engine warmed up. IMO, after being driven a bit.

12.6v, engine off.. after setting for 2-3 hours (no surface charge) would be 100%, State of Charge. (each battery tested independently of each other)

and does the 4WD indicator on the dash work?

P1832 p1876 are the two codes. I used 4wd a month ago and 4wd hi and 4wd lo worked on the dash. I have not checked lately. I can though!

those are both vacuum solenoid codes...
monitor vacuum to the system while you command it on & off...

Hey guys I have a little time to work on the truck today and some tomorrow and I want to ohm out the harness on the vc on the passenger side. I dont want to break the plug so how the hell do you get the plug loose from the vc? Thanks!

When I get the plug loose how do I check the ohm load? I dont really know where to check on the harness. Positive here and negative to where? the link below shows a pic for the harness. http://www.thedieselstop.com/faq/9497faq/maint/vvc/images/a25112b.gif Thanks for your help.

I unhooked my batteries and checked them after being left overnight and all day. They both were 12.5 and 12.6 cleaned a little corrosion off. I finally got the VC harness disconnected and it was a little dirty so I cleaned with electronics cleaner. It was getting close to time to pick up my little one so I plugged it in and went for a spin. I cleared codes and drove about 20 miles and checked for codes again and got the P1832 p1876, but that was expected because I havent addressed that yet. The p1273 code was gone! I ran Koeo, Koer, Contribution, and buzz test with no codes! The truck doesnt have that lope anymore either! I am a happy camper!!! Now I will need to get the solenoids for the transfer case replaced. Thanks for all the help guys!
