never heard that...and my blackstone test reflect SAFE
levels of all the additives even as long as 7200 miles....

rotella's anti-foam will wear out after 3500 miles? is this only in the winter or just in general? if so, is is not safe to go 5000 before changing?

I use Rotella Synthetic year round with 5k oil change intervals. Never had a problem yet.

It is safe to go 5000 miles between oil changes. I do it all of the time and I have 79,000 miles without any problems.

I don't use synthetic oil for the motor, I use it for the turbo.

i have 227,567 on original motor, use regular dinosaur sauce with 5,000 mile oil changes. runs smooth and gets between 15-17 mpg
