anybody have a idea for making a 55gal barrel oil theft proof. some one came by a place that i pick up my oil ( pumped it right out of it) and took about 90gal -mad -mad -mad . anybody here near houston that is a weilder and would' could help me out

If I were to padlock the drum I'd use one of the disc type like you put up in the photo.

but how do i make it so (they) the resterunat can poor the oil in but some one cant get it out with out the key. ive heard putting a heavy duty mesh on therebut what about closing it?????

Imagine a Weber bbq, the kind that has a hinged flap so you can flip it up and add coals. Using this idea, something can be fabricated and welded inside the drum where the flap can be locked by you and still have the lid close properly.


Or you could just buy one of THESE . ;tu

Look at the locks made for transfer tanks. They have one that flips over and put a lock on. I think they will fit on a drum.
