FWIW, NAPA Gold and Carquest Premium (they'll come in a blue, rather than red box) are both made by Wix.

I worked in a Carquest store for about a year. Wix, Carquest & NAPA are all the same thing in different boxes. In fact, if you compare the part numbers for those 3 for a given application (i.e. 7.3 Powerstroke), you'll see they are usually variations of a Wix number where the last 3 or 4 digits are all the same.

WIX 51734 = NAPA SFI 21734 = CQ 85734

Bottom Line ? Read the Specs on the Box, Can or jug.

Just because an Oil, or Filter, is Not advertized on the Speed Channel.. 'Til is Burned into your Brain.... doesn't mean it's No Good.

Man, I hope that truck owner got NAPA to pay for that!
