you doin' a bunch of idling ? kinda sounds like it if youve had a gunked up
egr valve in 10k miles.

I didnt have problems any problems w/ mine til about 35k miles...
i cleaned it ONCE around 22k (but it wasnt gunked up at all really).

my replacement egr was a REVISED unit (stepper motor or stronger
spring was the revision that i seem to recall)

ive run powerservice cetane boost in my tank ONCE in 52k miles...

my advice...run the piss outta that thing...dont baby it.
