I just replaced my fuel pump after it failed and caused to truck to run poorly. I'm curious how many other people have had this happen. I use both B20-99 and WVO. The old fuel pump as about 3 years old but it also looked pretty beat up when it was removed. (one of the ports on the top was all bent and dented.. I guessing from a bad install). If there are a lot of failures then I may add a boost pump... on the other hand I've seen the pumps sell for about $40.00 on ebay.

I replaced my fuel pump at about 200K prior to using bioD or SVO. It was leaking #2 all over the valley but the truck ran fine. :dunno Seems that everything on my truck has been replaced...except for the body. :D

Hi again Rich...

The stock fuel pumps can be fickle. I've got over 100k on mine (#2 and B100), but I know of others using #2 only who only got 10-20k out of one. SVO will put greater load on the pump, but I'm not sure if it really affects longevity. You might user search and PM SVSWAN, hasn't been on here in awhile, but I know he had a fuel pump failure several months ago after running a WVO setup similar to yours. He may have some input.
