Mine was doing the same (bone stock except for some seat covers. :roflmao ) when it was below 15. I added some Diesel Kleen and it stopped... Also warmed up so I don't if the Diesel Kleen was any help.

Just like the topic said, the truck is now making white smoke pretty much all the time. At highway speeds unless boost is above 6psi. At idle (stop light), upon take-off, tons of smoke and then a steady amount through acceleration. Not loosing coolant. The temps here have been in the teens and low 20s today and single digits at night. I've observed other trucks and they are not smoking at all. My first thouht is injector related (o-rings). Any ideas/confirmation? Thanks. Probably should have put this up in the 911 section but the truck still runs. I just need to get this fixed asap before I have to drive to RI (currently in Buffalo) and then on to GA.

Have some one read the EOT when the engine is warm, the sensor may be telling the PCM that the oil is still cold....just a thought...

Unplugging the CCV line seemed to fix the smoking. Unfortunately, I think I pressurized the crank case and that is what caused the leak from the dipstick. I haven't had a chance to take a look at the rear main and front seals yet. Truck hasn't smoked at all on cold start-up or normal operating temps since. It was up to 12 this morning (heat wave).

I cut the CCV hose just forward of the fuel tank and got a whitish/grey goop. Definitely plugged. I wasn't getting anything out of the end of the hose but when I cut it open I got the ooze and the engine was definitely venting.

Mine started smoking again really bad. I tried the fuel filter again, but it was really clean and changing it did nothing. I noticed that my CCV hose wasn't venting anymore (also routed back to rear axel). I cut the line right under the drivers side door, and it started venting again, and the piles of white smoke went away. My oil leak also disappeared. I guess I'll have to wait till it gets above freezing again to hook this back up. The water vapor in the blowby gasses must have caused a freeze-up in the line where there is a low loop. I had a shop replace my fuel filter last time as I was at work. I guess the time in the shop must have melted all the frozen stuff and let it vent again.

I had a problem with smoke, blueish white, only when there was no boost. I checked the turbo and had 1/4" endplay in the shaft.... When it was making enough boost, it would stop smoking.

I had my truck over heat a few times with the plow in front of the truck in 40-50 degree weather. Must have cut off air flow to the air inlet next to the grille.

Never put any cardboard in front of any of the diesels and all get plenty warm. Actually my mechanic brought to my attention that the F250 gets way warmer than the other two trucks, not sure why can only think that it's because it's got the smallest cab space?

Do a lot of ice fishing trips to Lake of the Woods were it gets pretty cold!
