A little bit of info needed, I've noticed a certain droan at around 1500-1800 rpm's, I have read about this , something to do with the turbo mount? I found a site with all sorts of technical service bulletins concerning the Ford PSD. I was wondering if this problems is covered by the engine warranty?
I also found the EBP valve that is in the truck is not the one specified ? Is this also covered or not? An the last question, the assembled date for this truck is 09/03 , with a 2003 sticker on the engine block, but was delivered in Jan of 2004. So is it a late 2003 or considered a 2004? OOOPS ! another question, what should be the latest update/flash for this truck?
I am bringing the truck to Ford soon for a rough idle when I start, a problem when it is cold 7C (44 F) which isn't really cold for up here, so I am arming myself to the teeth with all the info that I can bring, an all the know how from you folks.
:thanks for all of your patience
Jim

Jim your engine has a 5 year 100,000 mile warranty with a $100 deductible, so unless you've done some serious modifying you should, be covered.

Should in this sense is one of those words that should be used with caution, no telling what the dealer will try to get out of.

You need to get your dealer to run you an OASIS report so you can see what has been done to the truck prior to you purchasing it, EBPV may have been changed once already :dunno

my early build 04 had the same moan. they replaced the turbo mount/bracket and it is totally gone. warranty did cover it. the latest reflash i had was the 06e17. truck runs pretty good too. may have lost a mpg or two though.

My 06 just developed a very high frequency vibe (no moan) at 1500 to 1800 RPM. It is there at other RPMs as well, but not nearly as bad. It started around 4500 miles and is worse some times, but it isn't a hot/cold thing.
Hopefully, I'll get it into the dealer soon. In the mean time, any thoughts?
