No heat after EGR delete

A guy I know who drives an 04 6.0 was telling me that after having the EGR delete his truck barely gets warm enough to heat the cab. I live in Alaska so no heat is a pretty big concern for me. Has anyone else experienced anything like that? I generally consider the guy that told me this to be an idiot but now and then even an idiot is right.

Did he check the control valve that feeds the heater core??

When I installed my EGR delete I reverse flushed the heater core too. He might want to do the same.

Remove the hose on the bottom of the degas bottle and the inlet hose to the heater core and back flush.
