I can't fathom buying or driving a Nissan or any foreign truck. I fully expect to get flamed, but I wouldn't buy that garbage. Some things you gotta suck it up [electronics, etc.] but not a truck. A Tighten with a UD diesel? Why? No heritage..little re-sale a year into it..assembled here, yes...of sub-assemblies. Like Chevy with that Isuzu motor, the dura-crap. No way. I know, I'm a dinosaur...but thats the way i see it.

Since Nissan makes the UD trucks, you'd think they'd use their engines.

Here's another article about Nissan-they're selling part of their diesel operations to Volvo, http://www.detnews.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20060321/UPDATE/603210432/1148/AUTO01, maybe they're doing this in order to put diesels in their pickups?

No, the only Volvo division sold to Ford was the cars. The Volvo truck division is still owned by Volvo.
